Rahama Sadau was born on December 7, 1993, into the Alhaji Ibrahim Sadau family in Kaduna, Nigeria's northwestern region.

She and her three sisters. Fatima Sadau, Zainab Sadau, and Aisha Sadau, as well as a brother named Haruna Sadau, grew up in Kaduna with their parents.

Rahama Sadau studied Human Resource Management at the School of Business and Finance at the Eastern Mediterranean University in Northern Cyprus.

Ali Nuhu introduced Rahama Sadau to Kannywood industry in the year 2013.

She had a few minor roles before breaking out with her role in Gani ga Wane, Jinin Jikina, in which she co-starred with Kannywood actor Ali Nuhu.

On 3rd October 2016, Rahama Sadau was suspended from Kannywood by the major association group, The Motion Picture Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MOPPAN), for appearing in a romantic music video with ClassiQ, a Jos-born singer.

Following the intervention of Kano State. Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje in 2017, she wrote to MOPPAN to apologize for overstepping her boundaries.

The ban imposed on her, however, was lifted in January 2018. She was nominated as the "Face of Kannywood" for the year in 2016.

Sadau appeared in a movie series on Ebony-Life TV in October of that same year. In 2017, she founded Sadau Pictures and produced her first film, Rariya, starring Ali Nuhu, Sani Musa Danja, Sadiq Sani Sadiq, and Fati Washa.

She returned to acting in MTV Shuga as the career teacher. MTV Shuga returned to Nigeria in 2019 for series 6, "Choices," and Sadau was one of the returning actors, along with Timini Egbuson, Yakubu Mohammed, Uzoamaka Aniunoh, and Ruby Akabueze.
