Bola Tinubu Charges Stakeholders To Address Issues Causing Flood
The President expressed this on Wednesday when commiserating with people hit by floods and whose farmlands have been washed away around the country.
The President, in a statement signed by Presidential Spokesman Ajuri Ngelale, stated that statistical data released by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) show that lives have been lost, with thousands of hectares of farmland damaged and thousands of people displaced by floods across the country.
While expressing sympathy for natural disaster victims, particularly bereaved families, farmers, displaced communities, and those who have lost property.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu highlighted the "need for a cooperative commitment to address existential environmental concerns and create a more climate resilient and adaptable society."
The President prayed for the repose of the deceased's souls while assuring Nigerians that his administration, through the appropriate agencies.
Will continue to provide necessary assistance to victims, as well as timely warnings to mitigate the impact of environmental disasters.
